The National Service Scheme units of this College was started in
1979. It is functioning under the Human Resource Development Ministry
of India. The objective of the NSS is to create social awareness
among the students and all round development of their personality.
The NSS unit of this college conducts regular and special camp
awareness classes, demonstrations, personality development programs
etc for the NSS volunteers. Blood donation to the needy and required
patients is an appreciable activity of the NSS. There are two NSS
units ( Unit 58 & Unit 103) and the strength of each unit is 100.
The Sri Vyasa NSS college unit has been acclaimed as the best NSS
unit of the University of Calicut in 1997-1998. In the same year,
Sri. T. K. Sujith of unit No 58 secured the best volunteer award
at the state level. In 1999-2000, Sri Shinto Abraham of unit
58 was selected for Republic day celebrations at New Delhi.
